Welcome to Camp Encounter! Camp
Encounter is a year-round camp located 1 hour Northwest of Edmonton, Alberta, and situated on 100acres of beautiful lakeshore
and forest terrain. Rich in history, adventure, and education we offer year round programs including; a residential
summer camp, school programs, and weekend facility rentals.

Recent News:
2010 Summer Camp Availability: As of July 5, 2010, all summer camp weeks are completely full. Summer Camp Bus Schedule: A school bus will pick-up campers at Coronation Arena parking lot (135 St. and
112 Ave). The arena is located west of Westmount Shopping Center. The bus will leave at 3:00 p.m.
on the first day of camp. Please be at the parking lot at least 15 minutes early as the bus will be leaving
at 3:00 p.m. sharp. If you are driving your child to camp (maps are available from our website www.campencounter.com)
expect 1 to 1 1/2 hours of travel time from the west end of Edmonton. Please have your child at camp between 4:00 p.m.
and 4:30p.m. If you arrive any earlier than this there will be no one to supervise your children and you are responsible
for them until the bus arrives at approximately 4:00 p.m.. The bus will be arriving back in Edmonton at the departure
point between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the following Friday. If you are driving your child back home, please
be at camp by 3:00 p.m. You are welcome to come and join us for lunch at 12 noon followed by
mass at 1:00. If you are not at camp by 3:00 p.m. to pick up your child and have not contacted camp to advise an alternative,
we will send your child home on the bus. If you marked on the registration form that your child will be driven to camp
and you instead would like your child to take the bus please contact Camp Encounter as we need to ensure there will be enough
space on the bus. Likewise, if you have decided to drive your child to camp but you marked on the registration form
that they would be taking the bus please let us know as the bus will not leave Edmonton until all campers have been accounted
for.

YEARS OF COOL PEOPLE LIKE YOU! WE WANT EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN A PART OF CAMP ENCOUNTER FOR THE LAST 30

- A big thank you to the Government of Alberta for the
COMMUNITY SPIRIT PROGRAM DONATION GRANT! In 2009, Camp Encounter was awarded a grant
for $25,000and all funds were combined with other donations and as a result we were able to install
a high end water treatment system, upgrade our dormitory deck, and purchase new garbage containment facilities.
