Who’s
ready for Camp Encounter Summer 2009???? This Zebra definitely is! I am SUPER ecstatic
and excited to be heading up the rec department this summer at Camp Encounter. This summer will mark my
14th consecutive summer at Camp Encounter and my second year as staff. I have spent the past
14 years at Camp Encounter as camper, counselor, volunteer, summer staff, and fall staff—and I am brining all that experience
and fun times with me to rec this summer. I’ve loved and am very thankful for all the years and memories
I have shared with Camp Encounter and I hope that I can do my part in helping you achieve some of your own amazing memories
and moments at Camp. You all better get ready for the funnest, craziest, wackiest, looniest games YOU HAVE
EVER SEEN! I hope all you campers out there are ready for this, because I have a crazy feeling that this
summer will go down as one of the best in Camp Encounter history!

One decade ago a small and frightened girl stepped foot on the grounds
of Camp Encounter for the first time in her life. She was drawn in to the magical land, and dreamed of the days where she
could spend more than just five days at a time there. Ten years later, here she is, her dreams come true- Solstice! I, Solstice,
will be your girls dorm's supervisor this year, as well as half of the out-trip team. It is my second year on staff, and my
tenth year at camp. For those of you who do not know me, I enjoy music, art, funky things, being loud, flying through
space, and hundreds of other things. The dorms will be the place to be this summer - full of music, laughter, and
whatever other fun things come up. I am pretty chill and I hope you are too. If you aren't, you will be... or else! Out-trip
will be an absolute blast as it is the craziest part of the week! Imagine exploration, tipis, games, camp fires, crazy people...
the list goes on as to why the island is the bomb. Too-da-loo for now, I am Solstice, and I will see you all in a jiffy.Solstice

I am back after a 2 summer hiatus!
I was in Australia and New Zealand for all of last summer to travel and hit up World Youth Day 2008. I had some epic adventures
in the land down under. I am heading the up Spirits program this summer, together we will explore God through his creation
out at camp, through his presence in our community, and best of all through his Love for us each one of us! I am really excited
because I feel God already working on making this summer truly unique and profound. I hope to serve you with my many years
of camp experience and youth ministry experience. You can count on a universe of fun, laughing a lot, learning some cool things,
and letting God kick butt in your brains and hearts!

Hey Everyone!
Poppy here, back for my third year as camp staff, I will see you
all during your school field trips this spring as well as in the craft shack this summer! I've been traveling around India
for the past three months and right now I am looking forward to coming home to camp to see you all more than you can know!
I'm also really excited to share the new things I've learned on my trip with you! From new music for the craft shack stereo
to hopefully some India inspired crafts and games too! We're going to have lots of fun! See you soon! Love Poppy

I am so stoked
to be out at camp this summer as first aid/waterfront! To go from being a camper, then counselor, then staff is incredibly
exciting. I’m so pumped to meet everyone and see some old faces. We have some wicked activities planned
for this summer and I’m looking forward to making some unforgettable memories with each and every one of you. I’m
here to do everything possible for you guys and gals to have the best experience this summer, especially to fix you up and
keep you safe. Can’t wait for hot summer days in the lake. It’s going to be a blast!

Hello bonjour everyone! My name is Python, and I'll be the good fellow in charge of
the guy's dorm this year. I'll also be working with Solstice to plan our awesome stay on the island! Boy are we
all in for some good times this summer! It already seems like way too much time has passed since last summer, and I
know that we are all itching to get back out to camp! I can't wait to see all of you guys this summer, and I'm
definitely excited to meet the new campers coming out for the first time! I can guarantee you one thing for your camp
experience this summer; it is definitely gonna be an experience of epic proportions!!! Python
Like many of you at this time of
year, I… Can not
wait for all the snow to melt away, Long for flip flops between my toes, And hate the fact that school is not over… Because all of this means it is not summer yet! Some of you
may recognize, but for those who don’t my name is Copper! This is my first year on staff, but my 9th year
out at Camp! This year
I have the amazing opportunity of working out at camp in the spring, summer and fall, for a total of 6 months. I am super stoked for the chance that
I have to meet all of you and have some wicked funny memories! This summer I am really looking forward to taking all of you on some sweet ADVERNTURES,
and possibly getting you to do something you never thought you would or could do before. That’s right…if you have not already guessed
it, I am the ADVERTURE programmer for the summer, hitting up the rock wall, low ropes course, archery range, canoes, and challenge
course. For now, I am off! Finish school hard and strong…and now that after all the homework
and test is CAMP!!! Stay
