Camp Encounter offers many different styles of retreats that can be tailored to meet your needs. Choose from one of our tried and true retreat combinations or mix and match from our program areas to ensure your retreat achieves your goals. All of our programs are designed to compliment various curriculum points. Call us if your are interested in customizing your retreat package.

Spiritual Retreats: Suited to senior high religious education programs, can be tailored to hit major curriculum points.

Adventure Retreats: Adaptable for junior and senior high classes looking for an outdoor adventure experience, making use of the wilderness landscape surrounding Camp Encounter and our adventure program areas including archery, rock wall climbing, low ropes, and challenge courses.

Social Justice Retreats: High school social justice groups will find Camp Encounter a beautiful backdrop for community building, planning for their yearly activities, and our sessions thought provoking and inspiring.

Team Building Retreats: A great time for kids to come together and learn about themselves and each other, leaving the cares of the city behind them. Through exciting games and activities, and a trip through our challenge course a bunch of kids who thought they only had homeroom in common can become a cohesive group and begin to build friendships to last through their school careers and beyond.

Teacher/ Professional Development Retreats: A great chance for the staff to reconnect and hold development seminars.

Environmental and Ecological Education Experiences:Learn about the wonders of our natural environment in the wilderness that covers Camp Encounter's property. From animal tracks to trees and forests, the aim of our activities are education, preservation, and fun!

Outdoor Education Retreats:  For Schools with an active outdoor education program we recommend giving us a call to customize a retreat.  Our staff is qualified to teach many outdoor skills such as:  shelter crafting, fire building, plant identification, animal tracking, campfire cooking, primitive earth skills, and more.
