 CAMP ENCOUNTER MISSION:
(What we do?)
We strive to deepen Christian commitment, establish lifelong friendships, intensify our personal relationship with God, celebrate the presence of God within us and around us, and through an awareness of nature awaken an understanding attitude of respect and reverence for all life. This is accomplished through exploration of our natural environment, daily reflections, adventures and spiritually dynamic programs combined with community living to foster friendship, faith and fun.

Camp Encounter is an organization that provides exceptional experiences for children, teens, and adults, where they encounter a vibrant, Christian community in the beauty of the natural world.  We teach Campers to thrive and bestow the tools needed to navigate their world, by relevant faith experiences.  We develop valuable, intelligent, talented and confident people who bring Christ back into their homes and communities

CAMP ENCOUNTER GOALS:

 *  We provide opportunities for spiritual growth and faith development by treating all persons with respect regardless of race, creed or gender.
*  We provide a safe environment for people to take social and emotional risks, where days are filled with fun, laughter and exploration.
*  We provide opportunities for leadership development with contributions from real mentors.
*  We provide programs that are financially accessible to all.
*  We provide new and terrific programs, great facilities and incredible adventures that are entrenched with spiritual experiences.
*  We foster the development of the individual, concentrating on nurturing positive self-esteem and confidence.
*  We facilitate the development of social skills, responsibilities and physical skills through community and recreational opportunities.
*  We strive to provide the best quality training for our staff and volunteers continually growing and developing our skills and gifts.
*  We attract passionate, down-to-earth people who are authentic and relevant in their faith development.  
*  We hope to continually adapt and grow to serve the greater Family of God.
*  We hope to improve our facilities to provide the best experiences possible. 
*   We welcome and reach out to all people at any stage in their faith journey.
