Here is a Photo Tour of the Facilities at camp.
When you book a school retreat, or rent our facility,
you will not have to share the camp with any other group. We only rent our facility to one group at a time!
Year Round Facilities
Eating Facility: Newly installed in spring 2007, our 'Mess Hall' can accommodate up to 80
hungry campers and supervisors. With large windows providing a great view of our playing field and the lake, and
two washrooms right off the dining area, we are very pleased with the newest addition to our Camp. We generally have a cook
available for groups requiring food services, or the cooking space is available for rental groups should they wish to provide
their own food and cooks.

Recreation Hall:
Our multi-purpose 'Rec Hall' provides us with an indoor space for programming in inclement weather and during
the colder months. Fully heated with a forced air furnace and a fireplace, the Rec Hall is a comfortable place for small or
large group discussions and activities, and for an indoor campfire program. We have comfy chairs and couches surrounding the
fireplace on one half of the space, and the other is covered with interlocking mats to create a softer flooring in a wide
open program area.

Sleeping Accommodations:
We utilize a dormitory style facility for our guests. The building is divided into two wings; one for the guys and one
for the girls. Both sides are fully serviced with forced air heating, flush toilets, and hot showers. Each side consists of
a foyer and four rooms, each room sleeping ten people in bunk beds.

The Island: While not a building, our Island is a significant part of Camp Encounter.
Approximately 30 acres in size, the Island is an enchanting place to take our guests for nature walks, overnight stays, and
wide games. It is a regular home to many creatures including blue heron, osprey, varying hare, several moose, and dozens of
species of birds. There is a main fire-pit with log benches and it serves as a great base of operations.

its own campfire pit with log benches, and can comfortably be used for overnight trips from May to November. Tipi camping
